Society Home
The Nuffield Society was formed by the College in September 2008 with the objective of forging closer links to and between former members. The constitution was agreed at an inaugural AGM, and a committee elected to manage the Society‘s affairs. Minutes of both the AGMs and the committee‘s meetings are available from our downloads link.
A first objective of the Society is to improve the College‘s database of information on former members, and former members can help by visiting the registration link and filling out their details. It is considered to be particularly important to get the e-mail addresses of former members. The Society has also begun producing cohort profiles capturing not only basic contact details of former members, but also summaries of their research interests, and other activities.
All former members will be invited to College events, which include gaudies, and the AGM of the Society, and the special events for former members in economics, politics, and sociology.
The Society will also be contributing to the Nuffield Newsletter, which is posted to former members, and also available to download.
Former members are granted a range of privileges at the College, and are encouraged to make use of them.
The Society has a series of initiatives, news of which will be posted on this site. Minutes of the Society‘s AGM, and committee meetings can also be found on the downloads link.
